Jesus, the Mighty One,
the Only Son of God
Came upon the Baptist, John and said,
“Baptize Me for all to see,
fulfill the plan of God”
Then He stepped into the water blue
and bowed His Head

Jesus chose to be baptized
To help us all to realize
We must be humble and obey
The will of God in every single way

John said, “Baptize You? It can’t be true! You should baptize me”
“I am small, but You are Almighty”
“Can’t you see that it must be?”
Jesus answered Him
“You must do this, it’s My Father’s wish” then John agreed

Then the Holy Spirit came to Him
descending like a Dove
And the Heavens opened
a Voice was heard from above
“This is My Beloved Son
with Whom I Am well-pleased”
It can be the same for us someday
if we learn humility
