Jesus is the Lamb

The Institution of the Eucharist)

One Thursday night all over the land
people were eating Passover lamb
Jesus and His apostles too
were eating theirs up in the Upper Room

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread He blessed it and broke it and then He said
“This is My Body, given for you.
Remember Me whenever this you do.”

Jesus is the Lamb of God
Who gives His Body and Blood
When we eat and drink of Him
He fills us with grace and love

Then Jesus took a cup of wine
and giving thanks to His Father Divine
He said, “Take and drink this Testament. This is My Blood of the New Covenant.”

He left us this Holy Sacrament
in which He’s always present
He gave us priests to stand in His place so He could feed us in every time and space
